The kids will love having their own rear private bunkhouse in this travel trailer! Inside the bunkhouse is a 38" x 76" bunk above an entertainment center, a closet, and a 32" x 69" bunk above a jiffy sofa slide. The full bathroom with a 34" x 34" radius shower is just outside the bunkhouse for them to easily access it at night. They can even invite a friend or two to tag along and sleep on the sofa and U-shaped dinette once converted. Behind the entertainment center is a closet/pantry to keep your favorite snacks and the kitchen has a 12V refrigerator to keep your beverages cold. When you're ready to wind down your nights, head to the front private bedroom and relax on the queen bed with shirt closets and nightstands on either side of it, plus it has one of the dual entry doors to the unit! This model also includes two outside kitchen options if you enjoy cooking in the fresh outdoors!
If you're looking for family-fun adventures then you need one of these Palomino Puma fifth wheels or travel trailers! They are built rugged, easy to tow, and jam packed with features. The Darco wrapped underbelly will protect your units vitals through every season and the AlphaPly roofing membrane covers it. They also have new aluminum wheels and a powder coated steel I-beam frame. Inside, the Congoleum linoleum will be easy to keep clean, and the night roller shades will provide privacy when it's time to turn in. As demand for the Palomino grew, Mr. Landey felt it would benefit his company, Vanguard Ind., to relocate. With most manufacturers and industry suppliers located in the Elkhart, In. area the move eastward seemed logical. Vanguard Industries settled in the community of Colon in 1972. Once in Colon he began to put his plans in motion. By 1973 he had built the main production facility and within days Palomino tent trailers were rolling out the doors.
In 1976, Vanguard added its own Needle Division, in 1978 its own Metal Fabrication Plant, and has several cold storage facilities. On May 27, 1992, the primary production building and offices were destroyed by fire. By late August, 1992, the first 1993 model Palomino rolled of the line in the new 52,300 sq. ft. facility, which was built on the same site as the previous building had been.
The year 1998 continued to see expansion with the addition of a new 75,000 sq. ft. production facility, and another storage facility. In 2002 Vanguard was purchased by Forest River, Inc. This allowed for rapid growth and the introduction of two new towable lines of travel trailers and fifth wheels, Puma and Sabre by Palomino.
