Looking for three extra inches of road clearance in an aerodynamic and easy to tow trailer? This 16X includes Goodyear all-terrain tires, solar front window protection, and stainless steel rock guards for protection against road debris. You can sleep two on the split benches or convert the half-bed on one side and the full bed that spans the back of the trailer. The two tables with benches allow you to dine with seating for five. Get cleaned up in the wet bath complete with a shower, toilet and sink. And the cook will love the views while using the two-burner gas stove, sink and refrigerator.  This Basecamp also offers front panoramic windows and a rear hatch allowing you to take your snowboards, skis, paddleboards and/or kayaks. 

 

With any Basecamp travel trailer by Airstream, adventure knows no limits! The exterior includes a hand painted chassis, fluorocarbon treated UV protected aluminum, and a custom aluminum handcrafted entry door with window. You'll also find handcrafted welded extruded aluminum window frames, a torsion axle with shock absorbers, and Nev-R Adjust brakes. The interior offers Airstream Connected pre-wire, complete aluminum interior walls and ceiling, seating with Spradling stain resistant indoor/outdoor cushions and a laminate galley top, plus seamless vinyl flooring for durability and easy cleanup after all the adventures. A few features you will enjoy are the SmartPlug 30 Amp shore power, the aluminum Aircraft L-track storage system in the floor, and the optional fully enclosed tent, giving you the option to expand your outdoor living space!

In 1931, Airstream began with Wally Byam’s dream: to build a travel trailer that would move like a stream of air, be light enough to be towed by a car, and create first-class accommodations anywhere.

 

Wally Byam introduced the first riveted aluminum, semi-monocoque Airstream – known as the Clipper – in 1936. He forever changed the world of travel and built a community of like-minded adventurers called Airstreamers. Today, the entire Airstream community keeps Wally’s spirit alive and well.
